Lean Too – Freeport

We are excited to announce that another Lean Too house will be built, this time in Freeport. The owners are very excited, as it took them almost a year to sell their house in Brunswick.   The first house in the Kelsey Brook subdevelopment will be constructed to LEED (targeting gold) standards.   It will be very similar to Lean Too Brunswick, but with a screen porch. Construction to start soon by Senecal Construction Services. Lean Too House

Southern Maine Midcoast Chamber After Hours

The next SMMC after hours networking event will be held at the newly opened Town Hall Place.   Although the retail store Cool As A Moose has been opened for some time, the main office of Artforms and the production facility in the basement started operation this fall. DM/A will co-host the event, along with Artforms and other partners, on February 27 from 5 to 7pm.   Please contact us if you would like to attend and we will make the arrangements.  Tours of the facility will be given, and food and refreshments will be served. Best of Houzz 2012

DM/A recently received a “Best of Houzz 2012” award in both the Design and Customer Satisfaction categories.   Our portfolio included some of the most popular images on Houzz in 2012, and we ranked highly in customer satisfaction among Houzz’s 11 million monthly users. View from the job site

On top of Paris Hill is a very nice rehab and addition project.   The original four-square remains very much intact, however, an unfortunate addition was removed and a new kitchen, mudroom, and second floor master bedroom suite is being constructed.   A complete insulation and air-sealing package will greatly reduce the operating costs for another generation.  Construction by CAF III Builders Inc., Gus Fillebrown. Healthy Main Streets

David attended the Healthy Main Streets kick off meeting in Augusta.   As a board member of Main Street Bath, David will chair this exciting new Workplace Wellness program.   A collaboration between Maine Development Foundation’s Maine Downtown Center and MCD Public Health, this federally funded program will specifically focus on small downtown businesses to promote healthier lifestyles and help to control health care costs. Personally, David sees this as a downtown framework to maintain a sustainable, livable, and walkable city that promotes community and economic development. MDF

Maine Home Remodeling and Garden Show
