Yarmouth Clipper

The Yarmouth Clipper is currently under construction in Yarmouth, ME. Forecasted to be energy net-zero, extra thick insulated walls, triple-glazed windows, and proper air-sealing techniques will allow this house to be heated with a couple of air-source heat pumps. DMA worked with the owners to create a very personalized design for both their exterior and interior elements.

Northeast Sustainable Energy Association

It’s not too late to sign up for the NESEA Building Energy 15 conference at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston. Being held from March 3 to 5, it is the most established and most cross-disciplinary renewable energy and high performance building conference in our region, and attracts over 3,500 building professionals. be15_itacover

Juno 2015

During our recent blizzard that dumped about 23 inches of snow, David took a photo on Centre Street that went viral. A post on his personal facebook page, the photo ended up being shared thousands of times from various sources like WGME. It even ended up on the front page of the Times Record. Don’t worry, David will not be retiring from architecture anytime soon, there is not much money for shared facebook photos. 10922620_870587349628980_71

On the Drawing Board

Our second home at the Kelsey Brook subdevelopment in Freeport, ME will soon be under construction. DMA developed a design called Mainestay that originated from our Lean Too house design. The Mainestay includes a first floor master bedroom suite, screen porch, and a front porch. A fly-through was developed to help market the house design and can be seen here. Construction by Senecal Construction Services. mainstay-home-scene-3
