DM/A in Maine Home + Design

Have you picked up the November issue of Maine Home + Design? Inside the back cover, DM/A is featured in “The Drawing Board” section. Check out DM/A’s “open and light-filled design for a family of four in Brunswick. This energy efficient home has perfect orientation with lofted ceilings in the main living areas with dormers bringing in light from above.” Open and Light-filled

DM Cheers on USA

Sometimes you have to take a break from work and cheer on the USA Men’s National Soccer team. David Matero recently spent exactly 24 hours in Kansas City (both Missouri and Kansas) catching up with friends and cheering the USA team on to victory. The 3-1 win over Guatemala propelled the men’s team to the “Hex.” In the Hex, six teams will compete in home and home matches for three automatic berths to the World Cup in Brazil in 2014. The next round for USA begins in February 2013. USA vs Guatemala

Main Street Bath Survey

A few years ago, in a Main Street Bath survey, residents shared their thoughts about how they would like to see Bath grow and evolve. What did residents and visitors request? Ice cream, waterfront park, year-round farmer’s market, pet sore, Thai food, clothing store…done. It’s time, again, to tell Main Street Bath what you want in Bath (and maybe win a $50 Gift of Bath certificate). Please respond to this 5 minute survey, it will help guide us towards growing Bath. Lunch and Learn at DM/A

Our Lunch and Learn events have been very successful (pictured is our latest with Marvin Integrity windows). Our next schedule Lunch and Learn,Thursday November 29, will be presented by Jason Peacock from Maine Green Building Supply. First you need to air seal, and you can do that with Siga Air and Windtightness System (environmentally friendly, high-perfomance adhesive tapes) then you have to mechanically ventilate your home, perhaps with a Venmar Air Exchange system? A 2 for 1 lunch and learn. Please RSVP to by November 26th and/or ask to be added to our Lunch and Learn roster by emailing cathy@davidmatero.com. DM/A Lunch and Learn

Views from the site…

On top of Paris Hill stood a traditional 4 square house and ell with some unfortunate additions constructed over time. The garage was moved to make a perfect pool house and one of the additions was torn down. A new master bedroom, kitchen and mudroom wing will be constructed, and the existing house will be updated, insulated and modernized. House on the Hill
