A clean and contemporary aesthetic define this Contemporary Scandinavian house. An all-black exterior contrasts with a white interior to provide a beautiful backdrop to the exterior view and interior artwork.

An existing house on site provided the base for the design, but this major renovation completely modified the aesthetic. Additional view corridors were opened up, and new windows, decks and a screen porch allow for indoor and outdoor living. The glass railing provides a continuous view of Small Point Harbor.

The owner was interested in a modern house that also reflected Maine by highlighting many Maine artists, furniture makers, and antique pieces. This project was a great collaboration with an owner very much involved in all phases of design and furnishing.
